NOTICE: SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL, TRIGGS LANE (C142) WOKING, TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC NOTICE 2018
SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL IN EXERCISE OF ITS POWERS UNDER SECTION 14 (2) OF The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers hereby gives notice that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in that length of Triggs Lane (C142) Woking which extends from its junction with Cavendish Road to its roundabout junction with Wych Hill.
This Notice is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out carriageway surfacing works. The closure will commence on 8 November 2018 for a period of up to five nights, however the works are anticipated to be completed within one night, between 20.00hrs and 06.30hrs. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to for emergency vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of Triggs Lane will be maintained via the signed diversion route.
General vehicular traffic, excluding HGVs, will be diverted via C141 Wych Hill, C141 Hook Heath Avenue, C141 St Johns Hill Road and D7309 St Johns Road or this route in reverse order.
HGVs will be diverted via A247 Wych Hill, A247 Kingfield Road, A247 High Street, B382 High Street, B382 Old Woking Road, A245 Sheerwater Road A245 Woodham Lane, A320 Chertsey Road, A320 Victoria Way, A324 Lockfield Drive, C142 Parley Drive and C142 Triggs Lane or this route in reverse order.
The prohibition referred to above will not apply:
a) in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform;
b) in respect of anything done in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Police;
c) to any vehicle in connection with the works.
